Jason Upton: Vol. II No. 10
Preacher Behind a Piano |
April 2, 2008 |
| |
It's about time that WorshipToonz highlights this significant and powerful ministry of worship in music. In all likelihood, you are familiar with some of his songs; if not, I feel privileged to help introduce you to them.
Jason has not set out to be a polished Christian performer, or make a name for himself. The brutal honesty in his songs is often pointed back at himself; anyone in his position would fall victim to temptations to pride, messianic complex, etc. He knows it, and sings about it.
He's often mischaracterized as being extremely critical of the organized church, but it's still just the same honesty—it's all Jesus, or it isn't working. The power of his songs is in the depth and strength of his praying them. A Keith Green for today...

Session 7: Spiritual Warfare
in Praise and Worship (cont.) Dan Gardner |
|
| |
|
VI. THE PROMISE OF VICTORY (cont.)
The chart below details three more areas of spiritual warfare and how we can deal with these kind of battles, but
the real key to not allowing the enemy any room is to establish a lifestyle of praise and worship and a
high standard of praise and worship in your life; as Isaiah 61 says, having a “garment of praise” or “arrayed”
in praise. As you establish this kind of pattern in your life, you will respond to any spiritual attack in a
spiritual manner.
